How to install Windows 8/Windows 8.1 and Fedora 20 (Heisenbug) in  dual boot mode with EFI secure boot disabled

Hello world, with this new feature of UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) boot on the latest motherboards, the installation of Linux OS has become a real pain. But here I am sharing an easy, short and fast way to install Linux (Fedora) OS on a Windows pre-installed machines. To install Linux on a Windows pre-installed machine follow the following steps:

(1) Get the *.iso file of the latest issue of Fedora from here
(2) Make a bootable DVD from brasero (or any software which can write an iso bootable DVD/CD) or you can also make a bootable USB
with UNetbootin .

(I specially prefer UNetbootin over start-up disk creator or live-sub-creator, since with UNetbootin you can make bootable usb of any OS, Windows, Fedora, Ubuntu etc.).

(3) Disable the secure boot and fast boot for your machine. To know how to do this click here.

(4) Now insert your bootable DVD/usb in your computer and restart your computer. During the booting of your computer select the boot device option before it gets booted up in Windows and choose the your installing media, usb or DVD. (The selection of this option depends on your hardware for HP/Compaq computers it is F9).

(5) Now once it is booted in Fedora 20, follow the guided directions, let Fedora creates it's own partition. (Fedora's partitioning system is more intelligent than that of Ubuntus).

(6) Reboot your system.

(7) It should boot in Fedora. If it doesn't have the Windows boot manager entry in grub then make this manually by performing the following commands: (you have to do this with the root privileges in Fedora)

grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/efi/EFI/fedora/grub.cfg

grub2-editenv list

which gives

saved_entry=Windows Boot Manager

(8) Now you got the Windows entry in the Fedora's grub loader, boot in Windows and have fun.

(9) If it doesn't get booted up in Fedora but in Windows, then you have to give the path of Fedora's grub to your motherboard's boot-loader. For this you have do the following:

   (a) Go to the Boot Options of your system as soon as it restart.Choosing
the boot options is a machine depended thing. For HP/Compaq it is F10.

  (b) Choose the option of Customized path. And then give the following path in the text box :

EFI\fedora\grubx64.efi

(10) Now it will boot in Fedora showing the Fedora's grub and there will be an option at the last for Windows boot manager. Choose this and the machine will boot in Windows.
